Passengers on the 12:31 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads on 25th February 2022, had an unexpected scenic detour via the Kennet and Avon route as the GW main line was blocked to Swindon by an incident. IET Class 800/0s Nos. 800031 and 800013 are negotiating the severe curve round Crofton Pumping Station, the modest speeds possible on this line making for an extra 20 minutes delay in addition to the late departure from Paddington attributable to the disruption.
