Class 50 No. 50049 'Defiance' is entering the area of the goods yard to the west of High Wycombe with an up express on 8th May 1982. Dimly visible on the horizon is the notorious Mausoleum built on the hill above the neighbouring village of West Wycombe. This 'Hoover' is still working on the main line some 40 years later.
