Class 50 No. 50020 is calling at Axminster Junction with a service on the Southern route from Exeter Central to London Waterloo on 1st April 1983. The environs have become rather run down since the singling of this former major route and closure of the branch to the coastal resort of Lyme Regis which climbed to a height of nearly 500 feet in its short trip.
