The driver is checking the 'right-away' as he starts his Class 601 unit from Wurzburg on 11th August 1982. These units originally operated TEE services in the 1950s (which were later replaced by loco-hauled trains, while in the UK we were taking the opposite approach) and is here working a tourist special.
