A general view of Bank Quay station from the north on 10th July 1983. The distinctive building of the Patten Arms beyond the mineral wagons was a rail-friendly base for a business trip to Warrington, located at the intersection with the former LNWR line to Liverpool via Fiddlers Ferry, just the other side of the road. The unidentified DMU will diverge from the WCML on the non-electrified line to Chester.
