The brakes of Class 59/2 No. 59206 are smoking under the strain of bringing its 4000 tonne load under control, running down the gradient into Hungerford ready to take the loop line ahead on 18th November 2021. The train was 42 minutes late off Merehead Quarry but on time here by virtue of a run along the avoiding line at Westbury and steady progress across the Vale of Pewsey. With an early departure from the loop it arrived 20 minutes early at Theale terminal.
