A shaft of high summer sun penetrates the summit cutting at Savernake to illuminate Hanson Class 59/1 No. 59103 bringing the 40+ empty wagons of the Acton to Merehead Quarry past the site of Savernake (Low Level) station on 3rd September 2014. Nature has reclaimed the space once occupied by the busy GWR station, junction for the Marlborough branch line.
