WCR Class 47/4 No. 47812 is in charge of another ECS working from Southall to Bristol on 31st August 2024 ready for tomorrow's Royal Duchy excursion to Cornwall. Seen at Hungerford in less summer-like weather than of late, Black Five No. 44871, which ran on the last BR steam special 56 years ago this month, follows on in light steam before taking the leading role in yet another steam special tomorrow.
