An unusual combination of Class 66/6 No. 66606 and Class 66/5 No. 66502 (normally a Class 59 job) are in charge of the late-running Whatley Quarry to Hanwell Bridge Loop on 15th March 2024. Having been brought to a stand while the preceding service cleared the way into Hungerford Loop, the two locos are vigorously and noisily accelerating their 4000 and tonne 42 wagon load back up to 60mph, shattering the genteel decorum of this small market town station.
