HST set No. 253001 flashes by the vacant site of the down-side goods yard at Taplow on 20th August 1976. Beside the relief lines there still appears to be some residual trackwork on the upside which had served the GWR gravel pits nearby, some of the produce of which appears to have been used for ballasting the sidings.
