Class 50 No. 50035 'Ark Royal' stops at Liskeard with an up express on a dreary wet day on 3rd April 1978. The unusual bracketing for the home signal is worthy of note. The station was built in a cutting to ease the approach gradients which even so is as steep as 1 in 59 from the west.
