Memories of English, Welsh and Scottish Railways linger on! EWS-liveried DBC Class 66/0 No. 66221 glides smoothly through Hungerford with a Tytherington to Quainton HS2 railhead 2000 tonne load of ballast on 7th December 2022, after the first seriously sub-zero night of the winter. The loco has recently run through falling leaves which have accumulated on the air intake at the rear of the loco. A second-man seems to have adopted the usual position - nice boots!.
