Class 59/1 No. 59101 is the first in full green livery, perhaps to be followed by other Class 59s if the announced detachment of Freightliner from its former owner Genesee and Wyoming results in yet another rebranding - to the darker green of their Class 66 stablemates. The loco is rather over-powered for the half load Whatley Quarry to Oxford Banbury Road aggregates seen running through Hungerford in a brief sunny spell on a showery 17th April 2024 morning.
