Class 52 No. D1028 'Western Hussar' has just emerged from Parsons Tunnel into the blinding light on the sea-wall at Teignmouth with a down express on 23rd April 1976. The loco has suffered some minor shunting damage to the cab-side which it probably took to withdrawal less than six months away.
