Former Deutsche Bahn Class 212 No. 212-057 is recorded at Slivnitsa (Western Bulgaria) on 10th March 2024. The DB Class V 100.20 were introduced during the early 1960s, 381 examples being built 1962-1966. The design was intended to replace aging steam locomotives on non-electrified freight and branch lines. The last of the class was withdrawn from normal service in 2014, some being preserved and some finding further use with private operators.
