PIMK Rail SIEMENS Smartron 80-003 and 'Ludmilla' Class 07 No. 07-063 'Preslava' pass through Iliyantsi with an eastbound intermodal service on 26th September 2024. Being a this is the inter-modal from Bozhurishte on the south-western outskirts of Sofia. The Class 07 is required to trip the consist to and from the terminal from nearby Voluyak. Often the/a Class 07 will remain stabled at Voluyak but not on this occasion. As a consequence of major engineering disruption to the main line between Sofia and Plovdiv an alternative routing via the Sub-Balkan main line is seeing an increased number of freight workings resulting in scenes such as this at Iliyantsi. The two BZK Class 87 Electrics 87-003 and 87-034 have just come off of the stabling point prior to departure for their assigned over-night duties.
