Early morning at Iliyantsi freight yard on 23rd September 2024 and all is quiet. Ruse-based BULMARKET Class 85 No. 85-004 'Novelty' (Previously 86235 when operational in the UK) is stabled between duties, a regular visitor to this location. Also regular but a much newer addition to the Iliyantsi scene is Express services SIEMENS Smartron Class 80 No. 80-055 seen here at the opposite end of the rake of cement tanks. Out-shopped in a striking 'Stars and Stripes' themed livery it is usually observed working loaded cement trains from Devnya to the capital as appears to have been the case here.
