So here is the proof that BDZ PP Soviet-era Class 32 EMU sets are back on regular passenger services in and out of the Bulgarian Capital City of Sofia. This is Sofia-Sever or Sofia-North as confirmed by the station building signage. Shortly after sunrise on 24th September 2024 the station is a hive of activity with workers inbound to the city well before breakfast time. This location is currently being used to terminate most loco-hauled services using LINE 2 into the capital due to major restructuring of the track layout at Sofia Central main station. Early riser 32-015/32-016 gets underway from the penultimate stop of the ORD20102 (04:00) Pleven to Sofia Central, one of the limited number of services currently continuing on to terminate at Central Station.
