Sunrise at Iliyantsi station on 23rd September 2024 and a solitary passenger waits for the northbound Sofia to Mezdra stopping service. She looks on at a pair of BDZ CARGO Class 55 diesel-hydraulic type BB (Romanian Type LDH25) Nos. 55-004 and 55-135. At first glance the 55's appear to be stationary but in actual fact both were moving through the station area. Running independently of each other and clearly not coupled together the second loco followed the first, a somewhat unusual practice it has to be said. Two locos, two drivers in one signal section!.
