Bulgarias Class 07 3000hp locomotives built in Lugansk, Russia between 1971-1977 have reduced significantly in recent years but one of the finest examples still currently active has to be 07077 of PIMK Rail BG. Acquired in virtually scrap condition from the Bulgarian State run Railway (BDZ), 07077 entered service in 2017 following a lengthy year long restoration, one of two such locos acquired by PIMK. A glorious 20th March 2022, sees 07077 captured locked and parked up west of the Capital Sofia at Slivnitsa.
