As dusk approaches the freight scene at Iliyantsi comes alive. BZK (Bulgarian Railway Company) Class 87 No. 87-003 and GFR (Grup Feroviar Roman) Class 40 No. 40-1001 transfer from the stabling point to take up their duties for the night ahead on 15th March 2024. The Class 87 electrics imported from the UK are still active but actually catching one working a train in it's own right can prove to be a difficult if not elusive task.
