It is a well known fact that Bulgarian drivers prefer the comfort of the Class 40 Electroputere rather than the UK Class 87 electrics. They would most likely describe this scene as being a rose between three thorns! But not I. This is the stabling point at Iliyantsi on 13th March 2024 which provided three Class 87 in three different liveries. Still wearing it's very former Network Southeast livery 87-012 is nearest the camera with 87-019 also retaining it's previous LNWR black paintwork and 87029 following a recent repaint into what is considered to be the standard BZK livery for this class. The Romanian GFR Electroputere is 40-1001 in GRUP FEROVIAR ROMAN livery, the latter the parent company of BZK (Bulgarian Railway Company).
