Voluyak Yard on 8th October 2023 and BDZ TP (Bulgarian State run Railway Cargo Division) Class 43 Skoda No. 43-553 stands silent at the head of a rake of box wagons. The EVN identification number 52 00 43553-4 is clearly visible but there appears to be a need to also apply the more familiar number of 43-553 above the buffer. The paintwork has clearly seen better days and unusually, for locomotives, there are signs of graffiti on the body sides.
