BDZ Cargo Skoda No. 44-194 brings a rake of empty coal hoppers across the busy Ulitsa Kukush crossing in Sofia on 20th April 2017. Working the rear of the train is sister Skoda 44-108 that has just passed through the platform area of Zaharna fabrika station in the western suburbs of Sofia city. This working is most likely to be from the Pernik industrial area to the south west of the capital that has a healthy appetite for coal which is sourced from two open cast mines close to the Serbian border in Western Bulgaria.
