This Sharp, Stewart 0-6-0 No. 148 is one of the oldest surviving steam locomotives in Bulgaria. Built in the UK in Manchester it dates back to 1868 originally numbered No. 20 becoming No. 148 in the year 1908. The P3/3 Z plate on the cab side is of the old style signifying a passenger loco with three driven axles out of a total of three. Z means simple expansion. Behind and seriously in need of some attention is the initial Ganz Mavag diesel shunter 51-001 with the River Danube just visible beyond. The Bulgarian National Railway Museum on 23rd April 2017.
