The first really strong sunlight of the year mandates a 'right side' view of this Cathedrals Express from Ipswich to Salisbury as it emerges from under the bridge carrying the old A34 over the L&SW main line to the west at Whitchurch on 5th April 2018. LMS 'Black Five' No. 45212 continues to look immaculate during its stint of work for Steam Dreams and is making a good impression far away from its traditional haunts, in this case making up 14 minutes of its late departure from Willesden, in spite of further en-route delays.
