Wildbad is an isolated spa town (Bad in German) in the north of the Black Forest served by the Enztal branch line from the DB network at Pforzheim. On a heavily overcast day on 12th August 1984 a centre-cab Class 211 diesel-hydraulic Bo-Bo No. 2110575 has just arrived at the then terminus with a DB push-pull service. Since then the line has been electrified and converted into part (S6) of the Karlsruhe light railway suburban network, extended more centrally to the Kurpark. The town is also now known as Bad Wildbad, the duplication bringing it in line with the more than a hundred other Bad spa towns in the country.
