The Class 140 was the freight version of the standard DB Class 110 Bo-Bo electric loco, although as here they were equally at home on local passenger services. No. 1401942 is seen at its Eutingen stop en route to Pforzheim and Karlsruhe on 8th August 1984. The combination of electric OLE and semaphore signalling is unusual compared to British practice.
