Very little signs of Spring in the surrounding countryside and the only vibrant colours are supplied by Colas Rail Class 70/8 No. 70807 in charge of this Westbury to Aberthaw Tarmac working, an unusual visitor to the Berks & Hants route seen at Little Bedwyn on the descent from Savernake Summit on 3rd April 2018. The direct route to Bristol via the Avon Valley line is unavailable so the train has to undertake a wide diversion via Reading, Didcot and Swindon.
