BDZ PP (Bulgarian State run Railway Passenger Division) 'Attraction Train' AT6582 (15:20) Pernik to Sofia Central gets underway from Gorna Banya on 19th October 2024. Sofia-based Swiss-built Mikado Class 2-8-2 No. 01.23 (Winterthur 3593/1935) is captured on the return leg to the capital, an out and back day trip organised to celebrate 'The Day of Pernik'. Pernik is a sizable industrialised town to be found approximately eighteen miles to the southwest of Sofia.
