West Coast Class 47/4 No. 47813 arrives on Platform 2 with the 'End of Southern Steam' tour from London Waterloo on 9th July 2022. This RTC excursion was run to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the end of steam operations on the Southern Railway, the majority of the outing steam hauled by SR Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35028 'Clan Line'. Running from Yeovil Junction to Weymouth, the Class 47 remained attached to the southern end of the train until reunited with 'Clan Line' for the run back to London Waterloo. At this point, Clan Line was being turned and serviced at the Yeovil Steam Centre.
