Until recently many BDZ branch line passenger services were operated by the Type LDH 25 Class 55 diesel-hydraulic locomotives, often with just a single coach as captured in this scene of 55-198 at Oresh on 10th October 2018. Here it is assigned to working the morning service from Levski to Svishtov on the southern banks of the Danube River. Passenger services on this branch reverted to SIEMENS DESIRO Class 10 DMU operation in 2023 as more units returned to service following much needed overhauls and repairs.
