BDZ TP (Bulgarian State run Railway Cargo Division) Electroputere Class 46/1 No. 46-124 is captured parked up between duties at Pirdop on 9th October 2023. At first glance it appears to be like any other BDZ Class 46 but it is actually just one of three Class 46/1 locomotives that were re-geared for higher maximum speed. Numbered 46-123 to 46-125 they are a small sub-class of the standard 46/0 fleet. It is seen here coupled to 46-036 and will be joined a little later by a third example in the shape of 46-028 following a turn on a consist of box wagons inbound from an unknown departure point somewhere east of Pirdop.
