The oldest member of the BDZ (PP) Ganz Mavag 51-001 maybe languishing in the Ruse National Railway Museum in a less then desirable state but 51-150 is still very much active in and around the capital Sofia. These Class 51 Bo-Bo diesel shunting locomotives were constructed over a five year period between 1962-1967, a total of at least 175 examples finding use in Bulgaria. At Iliyantsi on 4th September 2022, No. 51-150 pulls forward through the station area with a rake of cement tanks. Skoda 43-550 awaits its next turn of duty in the background.
