BDZ-TP (Bulgaria) Russian-built Class 07 diesel locomotives have reduced considerably in number over recent years but a few are still operational. The initial member of the Class, 07001, was noted at work in Northern Bulgaria on 16th March 2022. It is pictured here at Svishtov on the Danube River, a sizeable town that enjoys a busy working port. The import of logs through this location seems to be big business both by rail and by road. A mixed freight from Levski runs on an as required frequency during weekdays to cater for the log traffic and various other fuel oil movements. The locomotive is captured running round the consist of the loaded return run to Levski in somewhat inclement weather conditions. During the day 07001 was used for shunting duties and to form the consist of the return working which will depart around 5pm.
