A rare opportunity to photograph the loaded oil train from Milford Haven refinery to Theale oil Depot arises when an extra working is scheduled in the Bank Holiday period after Christmas - the train usually passes Hungerford in the early hours. DBC Class 60/0 No. 60010 is on the level crossing negotiating the 75mph curve which is accentuated by the telephoto setting. On the 28th December 2021, the train passes ahead of schedule with the skeleton passenger service in operation, but is slowing for a short visit to the loop line to be overtaken by an up IET express and a DMU shuttle to Newbury.
