1986 Santa Steam Pullmans - this service operated over two weekends before Christmas between Marylebone and High Wycombe using separate locos to handle the out and back journeys. The locos have been turned for the second day of service and LNER A3 Class No. 4472 Flying Scotsman now operates the down train, seen passing the signal box and semaphores as it runs into Wycombe station on Sunday 14th December 1986. The nearest signal controls access to the long-closed branch to Maidenhead, the stub of which is being used by a DMU awaiting its next turn of service.
