As well as No. 50007, Class 47/4 No. 47500 'GREAT WESTERN' was looking immaculate in its lined GW-style green livery at the Reading Depot Open Day on 1st June 1985. The event was so popular in the fine summer sunshine that it was only possible to get snatched shots of parts of locomotives free from intrusion by other enthusiasts. No. 47500 eventually lost its naming and appeared in a rather less flamboyant presentation under West Coast Railways ownership.
