Before receiving the large-logo BR livery, Class 47/4 No. 47444 'University of Nottingham' brings an incoming service by Chester No. 4 box on 4th February 1984. The former close association of Royal Mail with the railways is evident by their Depot close to the lineside. The Brush was to survive 11 more years, probably longer than the red vans.
