The road crossing at Obelya on the western outskirts of Sofia is both busy and unusual in that the roadway cuts the
platform area in two. This results in stopping services straddling the crossing and causing several minutes delay at a time to road traffic. Under the watchful eye of the crossing operator BDZ PP SIEMENS Class 10 DMU Set No. 10 023/10 024 slows for the stop assigned to the early afternoon SUB 10206 service from Sofia Central to Slivnitsa on 12th March 2024. Onward transfer from Slivnitsa to Dragoman would be via a bus replacement service due to day time track renewal and reconstruction work.
