Soon to depart back to Sofia Depot is this BDZ TP (Bulgarian State-run Railway Cargo Division) duo, Class 55 No. 55-131 and Class 06 No. 06-128. The Class 55 type BB diesel-hydraulics have over the years been the real work horses on shunting, light freight and branch line passenger workings. Although greatly reduced in number you do not have to go far in Bulgaria before you come across a Class 55 albeit a BDZ machine or one of the privately owned examples that have been acquired in recent times.
