A taster of things to come - Freightliner Class 66/6 No. 66605 is in charge of a load of discharged stone wagons working back from Didcot to Stoke Gifford running across Hungerford Common on 3rd October 2019. There is no such regular working on this route currently but the presence of a second-man in the cab on this long detour suggests this may be for driver route familiarisation prior to Freightliner taking over Mendip Rail operations later this year.
