GWR are again unable to provide a local service from Newbury through to Bedwyn due to "adverse weather conditions". Nevertheless, the route can accommodate the empty tanks returning to Robeston in addition to the many HST services which are also diverted away from the GW main line through Swindon and the usual expresses to the SouthWest. DB Cargo Class 60 No. 60091 Barry Needham seems to be coping well in adversity with its Murco tanks, noisily rushing by the near-deserted car park at Hungerford on 17th March 2018.
