NCB SE Division 0-6-0ST No. 9 stands simmering in the hot midday sun in the yard at Snowdown Colliery in the Kent coal fields after a busy morning's work moving loaded wagons to the transfer sidings and recovering the empties. This impromtu photo-call resulted from hearing vigorous steam exhaust sounds in the neighbourhood while on a visit to the Dover - Canterbury line on 28th May 1975.
