Class 31/1 No. 31322 brings a passenger service over the crest of Lickey Incline on 11th April 1975. The presence of lighting, signalling, a telephone and stop boards here is testament to the exceptional procedures needed for working partially and un-fitted freight trains safely over this exceptionally steep section on main line.
