BR Standard Class 7 No. 70000 'Britannia' gives a fine impression of the former glory of these popular Pacifics as it rounds the curve approaching Hungerford with the returning Steam Dreams excursion from Paddington to Bath Spa on 22nd August 2024. The outbound journey traversed the GW main line from Didcot but a detour via Westbury and Newbury provided a scenic alternative for passengers on the return and a backlighting challenge for the photographer.
