Beattie 2-4-0 well tank 0298 Class No. 30585, here showing its pre-grouping number of E0314, is working on the demonstration line at Quainton on 27th March 1977. The four-car DMU on the main running line is operating a special shuttle service bringing visitors to the Open Day from Aylesbury on the abandoned Great Central route which no longer had a passenger service.
