Class 45/0 No. 45045 'Coldstream Guardsman' is still pulling hard to get the rest of its loaded coal train over the summit tunnel at Dainton as it emerges from the imposing (and in Brunel fashion oversized) western portal into the bright sunshine on 21st April 1976. There must have been some audible indication of its approach and much anticipation to find out what would burst upon the scene.
