The new order at Newbury, with little remaining of its GWR heritage Newbury is now beset with OLE and the traditional buildings are giving way to more modern constructions, most notably for now a multi-storey car park giving a newly claustrophobic feel to this view of the afternoon empties from Wembley Reception sidings to Merehead Quarry on 21st March 2022. Lead loco No. 59201, not much in evidence lately, is still in DBC red livery awaiting rebranding into the G&W black/orange being applied to other members of the Class 59/2. Freightliner-liveried Class 66/5 No. 66553 is along for the ride along with 30 empty wagons.
