It is extremely unusual to get a container train in broad daylight on the Berks & Hants line, although diversions from the GW main line do occur regularly in the dead of night. A signalling problem in the Swindon area on 21st September 2018 has brought this Bristol to Felixstowe inter-modal working headed by Class 66/9 No. 66952 to the open spaces of Hungerford Common, recently cleared of much trackside vegetation by NR ahead of this year's autumnal leaf fall. The fast-moving train is given the main line as it passes the turnout for the loop, even though a number of extra HST and IET services are also using the route today.
